How tools are added
New entries are based on public sources such as provider websites, documentation, pricing pages, product launches and editorial research. Before a tool becomes visible, we check its name, category, pricing signal, tags, provider link and obvious duplicates.
Which sources take priority
We verify product capabilities, prices, privacy and technical limits first in official product pages, documentation, changelogs, security material and privacy policies. Independent specialist sources add a second perspective where practical experience, market comparison or controversy matters. Claims that can change quickly are checked again against the primary source instead of being copied from an old summary.
What “editorially reviewed” means
A tool file receives this label only after a manual German and English editorial pass. We check use cases, limitations, cost model, privacy questions, alternatives, internal links and consistency with the cited sources. Automatically prepared entries keep their disclosure until that review is complete.
How guides are created
Guides are built from multiple sources and comparison points. They should provide context, link to concrete tools and avoid pure promotional copy. Candidates are reviewed in the final page design before publication. When an AI system assists with research, briefing or a draft, final source selection, interpretation and approval remain with the Utildesk editorial team. AI output is never treated as a source by itself.
Affiliate transparency
When a tool has a referral link, Utildesk may receive a commission after signup. These links do not replace editorial judgment: paid slots, bought rankings and sponsored lists are not part of the concept.
Index quality
Not every generated detail page needs to enter search immediately. Priority goes to curated tools, strong guides, categories and pages with standalone value. Duplicates, very thin entries and pure long-tail variants are reduced or excluded from indexing.
Updates and corrections
Prices, capabilities and product names change. We correct factual errors and broken links after verification, and update the visible review or publication date after a substantial revision. Reports are prioritized by relevance and checked against the authoritative source. A correction never buys a provider a more favorable verdict.
Report an issue
If an entry is outdated, miscategorized or unclear, use the contact address in the imprint. Notes about wrong prices, broken links and missing alternatives directly improve the next editorial pass. Please do not include personal or confidential data.
